Early
Bird Publishing will donate $.50 from each card
purchased online to support U.S. based charitable organizations.
The first partner in this effort is the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation/Greater New Jersey
Chapter.
You can support the fight to cure cystic fibrosis by purchasing
Early Bird Greetings cards online. For each card you purchase, Early
Bird Greetings will contribute $.50 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to
support research efforts and to raise awareness of this genetic
disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United
States.
Cystic fibrosis causes the body to produce an abnormally thick,
sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung
infections. These thick secretions also obstruct the pancreas, preventing
digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines which inhibits the absorption
of nutrients and fats causing those affected with CF the inability
to gain weight and thrive. More than 10 million Americans are unknowing,
symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. To learn more about the
