Energy and materials saw a split performance. Light sweet crude oil futures climbed $1.58 to settle at $64.99 a barrel as supply concerns mounted, while copper futures rose over 3.6% for the session.
Tech sector rotation continued, with Nvidia shares down 1.46 points to 176.97 amid profit-taking, while Intel jumped 6.3% after outpacing analysts’ expectations. Several AI-driven names were highlighted by strategists as oversold and undervalued, suggesting potential bargain opportunities following recent downgrades.
