Today's Trend

Haemonetics Corporation (NYSE: HAE) shares have been under pressure as investors assess a mixed set of earnings-estimate revisions from Zacks Research. The changes are generally modest, but the stock’s elevated valuation—about 51.5 times earnings—and trading near its 12-month high may make investors more sensitive to negative revisions.

  • Zacks raised its FY2027 EPS forecast to $5.27 from $5.20, increased Q4 2027 expectations to $1.46 from $1.42, and lifted its Q1 2029 estimate to $1.41 from $1.33. The FY2029 forecast also edged up to $6.20 from $6.19, signaling somewhat stronger longer-term earnings potential. Haemonetics analyst estimates
  • Zacks maintained forecasts of $5.67 EPS for FY2028 and $1.50 EPS for Q3 2028. Its current-year consensus estimate remains approximately $5.28–$5.29 per share, leaving the immediate earnings outlook broadly unchanged.
  • The research firm reduced estimates for several periods, including Q2 2027 EPS to $1.30 from $1.32, Q3 2027 to $1.36 from $1.37, Q1 2028 to $1.27 from $1.31, Q2 2028 to $1.44 from $1.45, Q3 2028 to $1.50 from $1.52, and FY2028 to $5.67 from $5.69. These cuts, particularly to nearer-term 2027–2028 results, likely contributed to the weaker trading despite the longer-term increases.

Overall, the revisions provide a mixed signal: modestly improved FY2027 and long-term expectations are offset by lower forecasts across multiple intermediate quarters. With HAE already having risen substantially over the past year and carrying a premium earnings multiple, investors may be treating the estimate reductions as a reason to take profits.
