Today's Trend

Strategic Education Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA) shares moved higher as Zacks Research raised several earnings forecasts, signaling improved expectations for the company’s future profitability. However, Zacks maintained a Hold rating, which may limit the positive impact.

  • Zacks increased its EPS forecasts for Strategic Education’s Q3 2026 to $1.89 from $1.85, Q4 2026 to $2.04 from $2.01, FY2026 to $7.11 from $7.05, FY2027 to $8.20 from $8.05, and FY2028 to $9.84 from $9.65. The firm also raised estimates for Q3 2027, Q4 2027, Q1 2028 and Q2 2028, suggesting stronger anticipated earnings growth over the next several years. Strategic Education analyst estimates
  • Zacks projects EPS of $7.11 for FY2026, below the broader consensus estimate of $7.21, despite the upward revision. Its Hold rating indicates that analysts see balanced upside and downside rather than a clear catalyst for a stronger revaluation. Strategic Education consensus estimates
  • The company’s most recent reported quarter included an EPS and revenue miss, with earnings of $1.76 per share versus the $1.80 consensus and revenue of $321.6 million versus estimates of $327.55 million. That recent execution shortfall remains a risk even as longer-term forecasts improve.
