Today's Trend

SLM Corporation (NASDAQ: SLM) is under pressure after its latest quarterly results came in below Wall Street expectations. The shares have been reacting to a combination of earnings and revenue misses, weaker net interest income, and higher operating expenses, which suggest margin pressure in the core student lending business.

Overall, SLM Corporation (NASDAQ: SLM) looks to be down on a mixed-to-negative earnings release: the quarter was weaker than expected, but full-year guidance and loan growth may be limiting the selloff.
